Ultraviolet Absorption

Spectral range: 300 to 700 nm.

Solution: 2/1(v/v) chloroform/methanol

Ratio: A446 / A474, between 1.09 and 1.11.

Method：

• Take 10.0mg sample to record the weight as M.

• Dissolve it to 50mL solvent and use volumetric flask for constant volume

• Measure 0.500mL above solution by using pipette, and then dissolve it to 50mL, use volumetric flask for constant volume.
• Use UV detect its absorption at the range of 450-540nm, record account A.

• Calculate the content of as the formula:

The cateriols is very unstable, when you test, Please operate without light directly in order to being oxidized.
